The role

 

Mac specialist MSP are looking for an IT Engineering Team Lead to support one key client in the financial services industry. The person who is successful in winning this role will be managing 5 project engineers and will be responsible for the service delivery to the key client, working closely with their internal Service Delivery Manager. Alongside this you'll be responsible for the project roadmap, managing resources to ensure successful project delivery and the overall management of the team including performance reviews.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Oversee daily operations of the project team
  • Lead internal engineering meetings to map goals and progress
  • Manage, prioritise and dispatch engineering tickets
  • Provide out of hours and weekend support for critical projects when necessary, with time-in-lieu as compensation
  • Serve as an escalation point for any complex technical issues within the project team
  • Oversee proactive maintenance of core IT systems such as patching

Required skills and experience

 

  • Proven experience in an IT Leadership role such as IT Manager, IT Engineering Lead or IT Project Lead - particularly in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Previous success delivering complex IT projects from end to end
  • Proficiency supporting Mac/Apple/OS/iOS environments
  • Experience with IT service management following ITIL 4 frameworks - including but not limited to incident, problem and change management
  • Proficiency in managing and using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, FreshService or Halo
